I think the truck has the snow plow prep package? What does this consist of? The springs are all stock but the front of the truck seems to sit a little higher than other 4x4? Is this because of the snowplow package?
In 2003 (the year I'm very familiar with) the snowplow prep package (option 86M) came with a steering damper and "V" code springs (5200 lbs) on the F250/350 and "X" code springs (6000 lbs)on the F450/550. As a comparison a stock F350 with no suspension upgrades (snowplow-option 86M, camper-option 532, max. front GAVR-option 682, or heavy service susp.-option 674) came with "T" code springs (4400 lbs). So your front spring code should help narrow down which suspension you have and why it sits like it does.
My little paragraph came from a Ford publication called the "2003 MY F350 Pickup Marketing Strategy and Mix Recommendations". It's also known as the "Ordering Guide" and is a 15 page docement detailing what comes in the various option codes and makes recommendations for what product mix the dealers should order for stock. I had always heard the "X" springs were the plow springs and was surprised to find something different.
