After I lock my hubs and put my truck in 4WD I get a clunking sound when making sharp turns in like a parking lot for example. It happens after I disengage the hubs and put the truck back to 2WD. Dealer says of course they can't hear anything. What is this ?
If ESOF, sometimes you'll need to engage/dis the tranfer case a few times followed up with a series of backups to ensure disengagement of the auto hubs.. EVERY time I use 4x4 I 'manually' check for hub release by reaching under the truck and giving the axle/u joint a slight rotation.. Mine was at the shop for some warranty work and they happened to lock mine (T case) and it never released until I happened to notice it in a parking area making hard turn/s many days later.. Kind of a problem of the beast for some at times.. Manual Tcase/hubs shouldn't be an issue as far as unlocking...

It's the front u-joints binding, Even with manual hubs you should unlock them then back-up 10-15 feet or so maybe even a couple times to get them to dis-engage. Sometimes they with unlock right away but somtimes not.
