Hey Fellas, I Got A Manual Three Speed Tranny That Won't Stay In First,it Sounds Metallic Before It Jumps Out... It Has The Automatic Over Drive(i Really Don't Think It Has Anything To Do With It, Just For Info)1. Need Help, Or Suggestion
Thanks Max68
Usually excessily worn detens or unadjusted shift linkage will cause what you are talking about. Also, what kind of shape are your front cab mounts in? The reason I ask is that the front cab mounts are shot on most of these trucks ( including most of mine) and a sagging cab can put many things out of alignment/ adjustment. These things include shift and clutch linkage and steering colum bearing failure.
Thanks, I'll Check Into The Cab Mounts.
The Linkage Has All The Slack Out Of It, So Much That The Back Up Lights Will Not Come On (now)unless I Hold The Shift Lever Up. Before Adjustment It Would Come On When I Put The Tranny In Reverse.
Where Can I Buy Repair Parts For This Tranny?????
