ground strap

i was under my 89 f150 last night replacing the smog pump and i relized i had a ground strap that was just hanging there. it's attached to the frame on the passenger side frame horn and ... i dunno were else. help please.

where does the other side of the ground strap go?

My guesses would be either the exhaust manifold; or the block, (but I think the block gets a cable directly from the battery in your year, not sure, please check.)

the strap is only about a foot or so long. the only thing i could figure out was to attach it to the radiator.

I think it goes to the radiator support on the bottom. My F150 has one there that attaches the that skid plate looking deal that is in front of the steering. The sway bar attaches to it.

I agree with you, that is where I think it goes.

Mechanics have diagrams of only the ground connections if you can get someone to look for you.
