Never heard of that one. Wouldn't it be easier to just replace the seals?

I've seen guys use backer rod ( used when chauking ) in there work trucks when they tear there seals. They just take take there seal off and insert the backer rod . You can get it in different sizes !/4" 3/8" !/2" 5/8" etc.

The backer rod purpose is to keep the seal tight, and the silicone is to just to keep them plyable .

seals

Do you need seals or are you just wanting to make them better? I would think the seals from a dealer wouldnt be that bad on the $$$$ but, it is the dealer. I have also needed one for a car I rebuilt and I went to a salvage yeard and bought the rear seals out of the rear door of some ford vans (I was building a taurus) and then just cut them down... Just an idea.
