Got my new cab !

Well, yesterday I made the 250 mile (one way) trek to Iowa to pick out a cab for My 75 F-250 4x4, What I came home with was a 76 F-150 Cab Xlt Ranger, which means I will have factory a/c, Int wipers, cruise, woodgrain dash applique w silver trim, cloth seat, and deluxe headliner, it has a dual tank **** on the drivers side floor by the back doorjamb but I dont think its factory, anyone know ?

The cab was from fort worth texas according to the sticker for some marine place on the doorjamb (why it was there I dont know)
Also has texas registration stickers on the windsheild also the "previous owner" left a ticket from warrant county texas.
The cab is real clean no rust holes only real rust on it is on the roof where the paint is pretty much baked off and is only minor surface rust, it needs a windsheild and a drivers side door it has a large dent and some jerk driled holes to try to pull it out and I would rather get a straight door then try to straighten this one and put mud in it

The cab cost me 950 and about 40 dollars in diesel and lunch and what not also about 8 hours of driving

I have a question now on the glovebox ranger xlt emblem the backround on the xlt is red white and blue is this because of the bicentenial in 1976 or were they all like this ? I just wondered because I remeber case painted their tractors with a flag scheme in 1976, Anyone know ?????????

I believe that the older dual tank trucks had a separate switch for switching the gauges and one for switching the tank flow itself.

Yes , They were factory those lever tank switchers.
Brass right ?

In just a couple years later they put the tank switch on the dash.
