Sounds just like pvc in the cold weather. You try to cut it with the cutters and it shatters. Days like that, a little less gets done

The nice thing, the cold usually does not last for more than a few days (unlike those well north of you that put on the long underwear on Halloween, and can't remove it until Easter).

It may get cold here.. but it's the 30+ Mph wind that gets to me. It is always windy on the plains. Its has been nice this last week 27drgs in the morning 50s-60s for a high... We where just in atlanta everyone was wearing heavy down ski jackets and it was 62... a security guard at the Georgia Dome was telling the kids "you'll freeze" because they just had Hoodies and it was 60.... we laughed pretty hard at that.. it was 13 at home the day we flew out, we didn't even take heavy coats to Georgia.

I was wearing shorts yesterday in Memphis. Now if the rain would quit, we'd have something. I hate it when it's sloppy out...

22 days of rain out of the last 23 in Portland. we're well on our way to setting an alltime record. Not amusing for homeowners- as the area grew, houses got built in places you wouldn't have dreamed of putting them before. And- yep- dirt moves when it's waterlogged.

We JUST got our first measurable rain here about an hour ago, first in over 100 days. Couldn't figure out what that noise was outside. 70's yesterday, snow tonight. Gotta love Okie weather.....hoping it gives the firefighters a break!

Yes, it's been raining a bit this year, PB. It's funny how it rains in other parts of the country. Rains for a couple hours and then stops... Here, it just keeps going all day long, for weeks. We were almost to flood stage a week or so ago, and that one day we had over 2 inches here in town - and the water levels went down. I've lost 2 friends, out of state transplants, this year so far. One family moved to Cali and one to NC. I look at it being T-shirt weather...

I feel bad for you S. Florida guys. A few things that help: Buy this thing called a coat. You wear it like a shirt. They also make shorts where the leg part goes all the way to your sandels, and sandels that are inclosed. You might only use them once, but boy, are they handy!
