As far as I know, all the V8's came with 3 - 2 precat and 1 postcat. You might try looking in the engine bay or through the wheel wells.

The factory service manual lists 3 sensors for the 4.0L and 4 for the 5.0L. I changed the sensors in my former 2000 Mountaineer V8 and there were 4 on that one as well. Both Sensor 1 sensors were pretty easy to spot from underneath and not bad to get to, but the two Sensor 2 sensors were still pretty to spot, but not as easy to get to and even worse to unplug and reconnect. One of the connections for a rear O2 sensor was located above the transmission. I've since read that there is an access panel under the center console but never confirmed that.
