Are DVD's thicker than CD's? And why can't they lower prices for CD's to compete with MP3's? Because I don't see how CD'S are going to last much longer. Any opions appreciated. fordguy101
They're the same thickness and as long as there is mass support for different technology there will be a market to sell different types of media.
I thought they were thicker since on modern marvels this guys bent a DVD halfway and it didn't break. But if u do that 2 a CD I bet it would break. So could you help explain this 2 me? fordguy101

MP3 is a format the same as CD audio(.cda). What you write them on to is either a CD-R or DVD-R(+R). MP3 are a compressed version of CD audio. Downloading MP3 files seem to be cheaper in the fact you can buy tracks ala cart verses having to buy the whole album(CD). In realality being that MP3 are compressed versions of the original audio track are you not in fact paying for something and not getting all of it?
