Flowmaster 50 series.
Well I had one installed today along with a custom y pipe. I'm not happy with the sound at all. Sounds like a Cummins diesel with no muffler, only quieter. It is not bad on the highway. It just doesn't sound "right".
Any suggestions? I think the FLM 70 is what most are using. Any other brand recomended?

I just picked mine up today too. I had a custom y-pipe and a Flowmaster Super 40 added. It sounds like nothing I've ever heard. It's pretty loud at times. I like loud. My GMC had 2 flowmaster original 40 series on it. This just sounds very different to me. I think it just takes time to get used to. There really isn't anything else out there to compare it to.

I have the 70 on the stock 3" pipes. The 70 is the exact dimensions of the stock muffler and fit perfectly. It's not much louder that stock and there is no additional interior noise on the highway. At idle you can hear the FM rumble but don't expect it to sound like a Chebby or Dodger my mechanic says it sounds like a ricer

i also have a 50 on mine and am having my 70 put back on tomorrow the motor has a 72 deg fireing order so it sounds much different then any other motor out there.it is very ricer like but not really ricer like. hard to point a sound to it. a 70 is the best imm . sounds good under full pedal not to loud but yet smooths out the v10 sound.

I have to 70 also. I had the straight through non-chambered muffler on for about 3 days before I went to the 70 series and been happy. The V10 between 1700 and 2000 rpm does have a very unique very ricer sound. Above and below that I love it. Added headers which deepened the sound totally makes it scream above 3K rpm.
