Will EFI Manifold work on older heads?

Will the fuel injection manifold from a 95 460 fit the early heads? Need to do a head swap and would like to keep the fuel injection setup on a 95 F250. Looking into the D0VE-C or C9VE-A heads for this. We will probably do a cam change at the same time to get some more power.

You need EFI heads and be careful when selecting a cam for a speed density system. They are very touchy to cam changes. Call and talk to a tech guy and make sure it will work with the EFI.

Thanks for the info. Is there anything that can be done to the EFI heads to get more compression? How much can be shaved off of the heads and will it be enough increase in power to justify the cost? Is there any aftermarket heads available for the EFI? Is there a good afteermarket intake that may work with the older heads to keep the EFI setup? Any info would help.

Thanks

YOu could change the pistons is your looking for more compression. Decking the block to get the pistons at or very near zero deck will help also as stock is actually down in the bore a long ways, and yes you can shave the heads a lot more than most people think but you also have to shave the intake a correspoonding amount so the ports and bolts will still line up properly. I have heard of guys actually cutting heads as much as .200 (I am not recommending this just passing it along) adn without looking I beleive for every .008 taken off the heads removes approx 1cc of combustion chamber. so if you shaved the heads .032 and then decked to zero deck on the block and put a flat top piston with 12cc valve reliefs you would be at approx 9.25:1
