1998 5.0 Engine Replacement

Blew the engine in my 98 w/5.0 and I am wondering if the 1999 version will fit as a long block (looking to replace everything but tranny). Most of the sites I have found with engines state either noting or that a 1999 will only go in a 99 or 2000.

Don't really care, but I found 2 99s close to home...
