Question Drums bad

Pulled my durm off tonight, coundn't adjust because the adj bolt was rounded off. In the process, found wobbley kingpin. And the drum is grooved, most likely beyond turning. Wanted to go to disk, but hadn't found donner yet, wanted PS as well. Whats your take on disks vs all new drums and shoes? It's my daily driver right now.

King pins are hinge pins and can wait a little. I have done it myself and have helped with several brake and steering upgrades.

Hands down the power upgrades are a huge improvement. Keep looking for a donor and do both at the same time.

Disc brakes are da bomb. Easy swap, very little maintenance, easy to work on. Like John said, the kingpins can wait. They may be sloppy, but they aren't going anywhere.

Thanks, I was in the same mind set. I think I'm going to just replace the adjusting bolt for now, rivits aren't into drums just yet, and adj the brakes and see if I can get away with that until I find a donor.
