Side airbags?

Side airbags?
I have been all thorugh the Ford web site and brochure... seen everything about the front airbags... and the safety canopy top down air bags... but I see no mention of regular side body airbags... in the seat side or vertical column... can someone confirm for me whether the Expedition has side airbags in addition to the top down canopy air bags and front air bags?

Currently, I am not aware of any "side" airbags per say. However, the safety canopy extends far enough down to protect one from the b-pillar as well as from shattering glass. Other than the waist and rib region, I feel that the rest of the body is soundly protected in a side impact collision. I do wish that Ford offered seat-mounted side airbags to protect the rib and waist region as the armrest could possibly cause serious damage if impacting the body at a high rate of speed. Perhaps in 2007 we'll get our wish. However, I do feel very safe having the safety canopy system on my '03 Eddie Bauer; makes me feel much better driving this monster. I love it!
