Good dealer experience
On 12/31/2005 I was running some errands when my 04 Scab died three times at stop lights. It had done this once the previous day. Since I was close to the dealership I use I chose to bring it in and drop it off.
When I contacted the service advisor I told him of the problem. He advised that he thought he could get it checked that day and have it back that day.
I then asked if I could also get the rear diff checked because it felt like it was binding a bit.(I knew about the TSB's from this web site). He then advised that it probably could not get checked until Tuesday because of this. Since I have a work car I told him this would not be a problem.
Skip to tuesday. I got a call in the afternoon telling me the stalling issue was because of the throttle body which was replaced and the rear was due to the clutch packs which were replaced.
Long story short. They also did the reflash first which did not solve the problem and took their time to find out what was really wrong. Same with the rear diff.
It was unfortunate that my truck needed these repairs but the dealership was a joy to work with. I was kept advised of the problems and now that the truck runs great I am satisfied they have fixed the problems.
By the way, the dealership was Thoroughbred Ford in Kansas City, MO.
Since there are so many horror stories from dealerships I thought I would submit a good one.
This is my 4th Ford from the dealership and they will continue to get my service.
