Hi i was needing some help on pinion angle. Ive got a 73 f100 sb 460 150 shot of nitrous 2800 stall c6 390 posi trying to figure out my pinion angle. I was told that the angle should be around 6 degrees down my measures 8 degrees up if im taking the measurment in the right place. Does anyone have any experiance in this i would appreciate some help thank you in advance.

Draw a center line thru the joint parrallel to drive shaft. 6 degrees down would be below this line but I would want 6 max here and you do not want it above centerline because it will get worse when torque is applied in forward motion as front of axle rotated up in reaction of input torque against wheels and it winds up into springs.
Isn't it just important to make sure the angle matches that on the tranny end of the drive shaft? The angles need to be the same to cancel out any unwanted vibrations unless one has a CV joint then it doesn't matter.

This is mostly true but you want to limit the amount of angle too.
