99 F-350 4x4 My Power Door Locks Stopped Working Wich Was No Big Deal But Now My Windows Have Stopped, My Window Is Stuck Down And I Do Not Want Rain Or The Big Tree Rats To Get In My Truck Can Someone Give Me Some Ideas, Also I Do Not Have A Fuse Diagram Please Help Asap. Thanks Kelsokell

 

GEM module. Mounted to the back of the fusebox in the cab. Try disconnecting the connectors to it to reset it.

 

My passenger doorlock is working sporadically and sometimes real slow like the battery is low or something. This seems to be the case regardless of whether I use the remote or hit the button inside the cab. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Oh, and my dome light sometimes stays on for no apparent reason.

 

That's the actuator on that side. Not terribly expensive, but kind of a pain to replace.

 

My Father's 99 is acting up like this and I told him it was the GEM needed replaced. Even his dome lights won't go out. Is there a picture of it so I can describe it to him to try the disconnecting it? Sorry, he lives in NM and has horrible internet so can't get on FTE. Thanks.

 

It's nearly impossible to see with the fuse panel mounted in the truck. If he unbolts the fuse panel he can flip it over and see the elecrical connectors for the GEM. It's the three flat connectors back there.

I just called him to pass on the info. He's gonna give it a try soon. He lives almost 2hrs from a stealer so anything is worth trying. Not to mention the hourly rate them places charge. Thanks again Cookie.

about the door locks...both of mine were acting very slow and sometimes not working, so I went ahead and ordered to new actuators, put them in, which was a pain, and since then the door locks have worked fine. Hope that helps!! Actuators I think run about 60 dollars a piece.

 

Oh yeah....The GEM module is fused in a couple of places in the central junction box (in the cab), so don't forget to check the fuses in there.

 

I checked all the fuses, relays, switches, all checked out good. Dash board started going crazy lights going on & off. I took truck to dealership they had just as hard of time as I had. I bought the truck used, they found a bunch of shorts and will have to rewire a bunch of wires to fix problem, also replace the door switches those were causing the door ajar light to stay on, even the air bag light was stuck on , 8 hours because some idiot cut a buunch of wires under the dash, looks like trying to install a brake controller & radio.
