No sound

today I started my truck up to let it run since its been a while, I have a CD in the radio and its playing I crank the volume up a little and then all of a sudden no music from none of the four speakers, I take the CD out to try the regular radio and no luck. It seems like I fix one thing and another problem happens. Any thing I should look at first, Maybe a fuse or something? Thanks

Vehicle info?

Did any sound return by turning the volume back down? Turning the stereo on and off? Turning the vehicle on and off? Are all the lights/display working on the deck?

I turned the deck off, I turned the truck off, all the lights work on the unit it does everything properly except for making sound. It is in my 1976 ford truck, The radio is a kenwood, I dont know the model number.

The first thing to check (for me) would be the two simplest things...

1) Did the speaker plug just rattle loose in the back of the deck?

2) Does your model truck have a factory amp that blew a fuse?
