My trucks a 1990 f150 4x4 with a 5.0l.. I got a bunch of stuff on it.
6in suspension lift, 33's, intake, headers, flows, 4.10's, electric fan,
It has 33's x 12.5 right now and loaded down it can still be a bit sluggish. Also its an f150 so Im not sure how much my sterling 8.8 can handle.
Would a 34x11.5 feel anything like a 33x12.5?
does 1 inch make a big difference?
Does 2 inches make a big difference?
My wheels are 15 inches tall and a 10 in dish does that effect what size tire I should get?
Also I get 11-14 mpg how much would a 34 or 35 efect gas mileage?
Thanx.
I've got a similar setup (but with a supercharger so I have more torque), I have 33" tires but a 3.55 rear end. The 34" or 35" tires will be a little slower off the line than the 33". If it is sluggish now I would stay with the 33" tires.
I'm surprised that it feels sluggish with 4.10's and 33's, actually. It should feel pretty close to stock with those gears. But, like everyone says, if you go bigger, it will feel even more sluggish.
Have you done an exhaust backpressure test to see if you have a plugged cat or anything else that might be killing your power?
HOW DO I DO THAT!!! I really want to know!! Ive been wondering if I have clogged cats for the past year!
Sluggish to me... Ive driven fast cars and I feel like my truck is incredibly slow in comparison... I guess its fast for a truck.. but a full bed sure slows it down.

JOE thats sweet you got a supercharger.
Probably best to have it tested at a muffler shop. They will drill a hole on the engine-side of the cat and test for the pressure there. I don't think it costs much at all, be worth it.
