bad ***!!! when dodge first put the v 10 in a truck it was only the 3/4 ton, my brother n law bought one new even it being 3/4 ton it was bad to the bone. now ford fight back with your v 10 lightning . I do want one of those fast *** dogs! he could go get my smokes faster than I could get to my truck haha ..thanks for sharing that video I saved it for the kids to see it after school............................................ ....................
Money... It wouldn't sell another vehicle here - would be pointless. It is based on a car platform. And it is unibody (with IRS). The Ford is also a unibody - but it has a live axle rear end.
> Actually that looks like the Holden that we imported to become the new GTO doesn't it?
That is an everchanging item. At the moment the aforementioned Bugatti Veyron holds the record at 252.8mph (and is actually limited to that...).
I should have framed the question better I meant quickest not the fastest. I wanted to post it because it is a Ford actually

Ok... Now you have me intrigued...
What acceleration distance/speed?
The Veyron holds pretty much all production acceleration records I can think of - I don't think it has been tested in the the 0-100-0 yet (which Carroll Shelby apparently held the record too in a 427 Cobra - but there is no evidence to confirm this) it was 12.4seconds. It is now held by the Ultima GTR in 10.3s.
I am quite sure the 1986 Ford RS200 Evo would have beat the Veyron to 60 and 100 mph. Ford had to build 200 for it to be a "production" car and of those 20 were tweaked for the full brat Group B racing version. It is so interesting because I believe you could get plates to drive this on the US streets today but it was actually literally too fast to race!
I went to a Group B event in Washington state once and got hooked. The RS200 was not there but the Lancia S4 with both a supercharger and turbo charger was.
The Bryan Hart built Cosworth 2.1L BDT "E" 4 cyl turbo at 650 hp and weight of the EVO version of about 2200 lbs (heavy for group B) should see 60 mph is less than 3 seconds but I have read 2.1 seconds. Quarter mile in the 9's easy. I think the Veyron would be realing it in at 100 mph but it would be close I think. The RS would be something like 6.8 or so to 100?
Anyway I think it is a very intersesting bit of engineering for the Ford brand and it got thrown out.
Anyway I suppose 3 or 4 could actually be had if you have $300k US. I have no idea what a rebuild would set you back after driving it for what, 2000 miles?
take this link if you are only to take one >> http://www.rs200.org
Just checked out your profile BigF350. So you would be rebuilding that little 4 banger after 10 trips to the pub! Holy crap I think I really envy you! Don't tell me anything bad about your life okay? Stuff like you don't have a pub to go to. Dunt wanta hear it. Let me keep my fantasy of what it would be like to live that far out in the bush. Mate you better stick with the diesels.
Don't get a truck like mine (the truck not the Ford pickup ) with a top speed of 100kph! Life's too short haha
