Cant plug in truck
I gotta quick question. A guy I work with siad this weekend when he tried to plug in his 350, it kept tripping the breaker on his outlet in the garage. He said that the extention cord was good.
I was wondering if any of you had any ideas.
Thanks for any help

1. The cord on his block heater has exposed wires from rubbing, rodents, etc. and shorted out.
2. The block heater itself (the heating element inside of the block) shorted out.
You can check either one with an omh meter. First, do a visual inspection of the cord of the block heater. Then disconnect the cord from the block heater itself. With the cord disconnected neither line should omh out to the others. If they do, bad cord.
Check the block heater element. It sould not omh out to the block.
