fei1, Your gonna be hard pressed to get many people from here to endorse rpm outlet. Alot of us have had some real problems with them. A few good ones but mostly bad. After my dealings with them, I'll never go back. Just my opinion. Back to the post. I use Auto meter Pro Comp 2-5/8 liquid filled boost gauge, and Pro Comp 2-5/8 Pyro. I had to buy two separate pillar pods cause they ony make singles for that size in my year model. But I love the big gauges. I bought all of it from Jegs.

Love the ISSPRO looks!

I love the gauge calibration on all of the gauges. They are easy to read and tell whether something is wrong. I need to find out where you put the oil pressure line, and the water temp sending unit if anyone has an idea? Thanks, Dave

I bought my A-pillar "Quad" Pod / Autometer "Lunar" gauges and 4" Flo-Pro Turbo-back exhaust from www.rpmoutlet.com. I placed my order over the phone, just to be on the safe side. I couldn't pass on their low prices, they were here in town, and I had my order two days after placing.

I guess luck was on my side

the1mg, you got lucky. You too tx. I was almost to the point that I wanted to drive from Austin and wrap a pipe around someones head over there. They were terrible to me. And I wasn't the only one. Lots of guys on here had bad luck with them. I'm really glad you guys got your stuff okay. mg, they look good!

i would recommend gauges from www.blackclouddieselperformance.com Garrett is a great guy, i bought mine from him (3 pod A pillar) with Autometer Sport-Comps that match the stock dash PERFECTLY, even the backlighting is spot on. thinking of three more soon, cant decide between under the cubby or overhead between the visors. i have a Lariat, so i have the overhead screen. does anyone know if the gauges will still be visible or even fit at all with the LIE O METER? any place that has an overhead mount? ive seen them before but can't remember.

I got mine from one of our sponsers, www.blackclouddieselperformance.com. Give Garrett a ring or an email, he's super informative and has a great deal right now on the Autometer gauges. Here are my Autometer Phantoms I got from Garrett.

Right now he has a 3 gauge Autometer setup w/painted pillar to match your interior for $300 with free shipping and includes all the wiring needed to do the install. That's a great deal if you ask me

gauge install

hi guys, i understand what its like to get bad service and i do count myself lucky. i usually have the bad luck. bestbuy lost my laptop duing serviceing and it took a month to finally get another one. any way i was wondering now that i got my pillar kit and i painted the pillar, im now looking at the install instructions and was wondering if theres any easy hook up tricks or will i need to tap install holes. it seems like the directions are for a wide range of application. i have the 99' 7.3 and im gonna install the egt, boost, trans temp gauges. i konw it's a rather big question. thx. phil

Thumbs up On the dash

If you need more gauges, take a look at http://dieselmanor.com/isspro/EV_black-black-red.asp

They have really nice gauges and they are easy to read even at a glance. The PYRO gauge is in 50* incriments, the Boost is in 1 psi incriments, the tranny temp is in 10* incriments and if you need more gauge options they have a 2 gauge mount that places the gauges on either side of the steering column and you can see them through the sterring wheel. I am going to put the water temp and oil press in those. The water is in 10* incriments and the oil is in 5 psi incriments and they have red needles that glow like the factory instrument panel. There are some companines out there that have 4 gauge pillar mounts but I (for now anyway) only need 5 gauges. The 3 on the A post and the 2 other ones on the steering column will work great! Here is the link to the 2 gauge mount. http://dieselmanor.com/pillars_pods/gauge_mounts.asp

Good luck and hope you find what you need...Dave

Where to tie them in?

Now that I have decided on which gauges, I was wondering if anyone knows where to get an accurate oil pressure reading and a place to tie in the water temp gauge sending unit. The gauges on Diesel Manor all have electrical gauges, so there is no chance of springing an oil leak in the cab...This was a big decision maker on these.........

I didn't read the whole thread, but. I do know that http://www.rpmoutlet.com/powersstw.htm has a 3 gauage package with pillar for $240.00. Seems like a good deal to me. I do know someone that ordered those gauges, got them and loves um. Yes they are autometer gauges. Three different styles to choose.
