Question Rebuild Problems

We just got the engine (302, everything stock) back into the truck and everything is connected. She started up for me but after running about 5 or so minutes the oil pressure gauge read zero. well it actually didnt move from teh position it started in. it read fine at first but after i restarted it it wont read at all. i replaced the sending unit, checked the shaft under the distrubutor and changed out the oil filter and checked the oil levels in the car. the shaft and the levels all seemed fine so i reassembled it and still had the same problems. if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. i have run out of ideas for it. let me know.
