Torque specifications for a 54
My shop manual doesn't seem to have all the torque specs for my truck. Is there another manual or source for this information? I'm going to bolt my front axle back in this week and need would like to see the specs for everything such as the spring bushings, spring brackets, tie rods bolts, etc.. Ideally I'd like every specification for the truck.
Thanks for any help.

I don't know about the 1954 manual, but in the 1956 manual there is a table in the engine specifications section that lists torque specs for a variety of bolt sizes. Why they put it in the engine section I'm not sure. I get the impression that you are supposed to use those numbers for anything that is not specifically called out in the specifications section of the manual (transmission, engine, rear axle, etc.).
The numbers in the table look very close to SAE standards for rolled, dry fastener threads - the most common type of fastener situation. Basically, I used the numbers in that general table for anything that wasn't called out and it has worked fine so far. If you want a table of SAE specs for rolled, dry fastener threads there are a number available on the web. Here is one I found.
The tie-rod is called a Spindle connecting rod in the manual and the torque is 45-55.
These old manuals can use some confusing terms for common parts.
