Someone Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a 90 ranger and it is running like poo. It has a 2.3 lt , 5 speed tranny and is 2 wheel drive, no a/c and no p/s. the truck has 177,000 mls on it but the engine has only 60,000. I have a huge loss in power on the highway and trouble keeping it alive ay idle. I did a compression test on the truck and it doesnt look good, #'s 1 and 4 have 125psi and #'s 2 and 3 only have 50psi. I also adjusted the timing belt tensioner the belt had a little slop in it but not much, it helped with the idle a little. If there is anyone out there that could give me a little heads up on this situation i would greatly appreciate it thank you Troy

sounds as if you might have skipped a tooth on the timing belt. I dont know the recommeded change out on the belts, but I had a little nissan that jumped a tooth and it was as you describe.\
