'04 6.0 PSD torkshift problem while passing
I put the pedal to the metal to pass a RV on a curvy two lane highway yesterday and the tranny would not stay in a gear. It would shift down then shift up, back and forth a couple of times and it wasn't accelerating as much as it should until I let up on the throttle a little bit. The engine was running strong, no problems there. All this happened in about two seconds. Kind of scary when there is traffic coming toward you, even though you can't see it yet. This has happened before but only when I mash the throttle to the floor. Is this normal? The truck drive train is stock. I am up to date on the recalls (as far as I know). Latest flash was on 9-20-05, 4v7a-12a650-bgg. The "v" might be a "u" , I can't positivly read the writing . It had this problem before the latest flash too. I don't mash the throttle very often.
