Throttle Problem
I beleive the inner shaft spring is broken since there is no longer any return pressure on the gas pedal. The cable is in place on the gas pedal and I can accelerate up and down but no resistance. The tip of the sring is below a fixed part of the throttle body. I see a wipe mark were the sring was riding back and forth. I tried to bring the tip end of the sring back there but it doesn't seem long enough. Is there a replacement part only for this or do I have to get a new throttle body assembly? If so then is it better to get one of these aftermark upgrades which claim up to 30% fuel saving? Is it better to increse the bore or adding the spacer?
