Irok radials round or ?

Thinking of purchasing a set of 37 x 12.50 x 16 irok radials. Just wondering if I can expect the same ride I would get out of a bogger or are they made nice and round. The truck is going to be on the road more than the dirt, but I want to run a mud tire. Just lookin for the one with the niceist road manners. Any sugestions on this tire or another compairable tire would be great. Thanks.

Nick

What size vehicle are these going on? Beware; they wear out about as fast or faster than boggers on the pavement, and I would really suggest carting them long with you whenever you want to go OR'ing, if that's an option.

Planned on putting them on a excursion. Carting them along isnt a option, so Im trying to find that sweet spot. My second choise is the PJ dirt grips. Have you seen the iroks wear quick on the front of a truck maybe w/ IFS, or just wear quick in general.

Just quick in general. The rubber is extremely soft, which is why they work great off road, but also why they wear horribly on pavement, even more so on the Ex. I have one myself, and when I go to a larger tire, it's gonna be a groundhawg, only because they take so dang long to wear down, but are still decent off road.

You might consider ss Truxus M/T. They are still a good off road tire, but you are suposed to get more miles out of them, they're quiet, and just all around good road and mud tire.

usually, off road ability, and good wear dont go hand and hand. pick one, and go for it. you can make a tire last alot longer by rotating regualary, and keeping them ballanced.

i ran the irok bias and LOVED them. i'll be going with 42's on my EB. yes they have a soft tread but if they were good on road they wouldn't be so good offroard. i never got mine balanced and they actually rode very well. they stayed true and fairly balanced.

haha, trying to balance an interco tire over 35"
is a waste of time....i wouldnt waste the $$ on irocs unless your gonna use them off road alot....they will wear out quick if just driven on the street. i would try and go with some sort of m/t

I personally ran a set of Swamper SSR's, in the same size on a 96 F-250 diesel, i had 24K miles on them, and still hand lots of tread left when i sold the truck. They rode great(for a big diesel) and did good in the mud too.

You might consider getting Ground Hawg II Radials. They are hard compound, and people say they last forever. Also, if they don't have them in the size you want, another good option are Pitbull tires. http://www.tyres1.com/browse/browseT.html

just remember, harder compound, the worse for rocks and whatnot, not to bad for mud though
