Cat Back Exaust

I've got a 2003 F350, installed a Banks 4" Catback exaust system on it, got a buddy who has the same thing on his Chev. He took out the Cat and the Resinator. Do either of these mods make a difference on the Fords. I've heard from people that removing the cat voids warranty. Also that these turbos need the cat and resinator for backpressure to help spool the turbo.. Does any of this make sense to anyone? Im not gonna remove something I need.
THanks

If truck needs warranty work make sure that it has a cat on it when it goes in to the dealer. I kept mine and am happy with the trucks performance.

I can say that I have an 03 and changed the exhaust to a turbo back MBRP 4" system and removed the cat. My truck has gained a noticable amount in turbo responce time and the milage has even improved substantialy, one thing I was told was that my truck has 120,000km on it and changing the original exhaust and putting a new cat would of also made a big differance. I did talk to the dealer about this before I did it and was told to go ahead, they have no problem with exhaust mods but I was also told to not let them find out I ever had a performance chip on it because that will be a problem with warranty.

BonebrakeJones,

It will spool up the turbo quicker and get a lower EGT too. Call us if you want we have the MBRP down pipes and cat test pipes that will bolt up to the Banks cat back system. The test pipe bolts in with two bolts and one clamp so you can take the cat out for off road and racing and then bolt it back it for road use etc.
