351 M head suggestion
The engine was out of a 78 Bird B-4 I had it rebuilt. I told the shop I wanted better low to mid torque and that I got, just not sure what cam they put in at the time (1987), that was 10k ago. As you can tell I haven't driven it to much.
The engine is in a 1978 F-350, my plan is to make a real eye catcher that sounds and runs good as well.
I'm really pleased with the engine as it is, just want to tweek it a little. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
For what it's worth, I have 351M motor in another "78 F-350 I own if those heads are any better. I've never had them off to compare, just a FYI and was wondering.
Thanks in advance, HoBo
flowing than the car ? Since trucks seem to get to play by different rules ? or would it just not be worth the aggrivation of switching ? It's more of a curosity thing than anything else. I'm not really looking for a high performer with an F-350 anyhow. When I changed all the metal in the late 80's and had it painted it turned alot of heads. It was a pretty good looking truck, it was a short bed stake at the time. I later switched it over to a dump body.
Well since doing so and nearly doubling my tag fee, I'm switching it back to a stake body and dressing it up with the alloy wheels and a fresh paint job. My work is restoring houses and i feel it'll help my advertising too, plus I can write some of it off on my taxes (I think) and enjoy the restoring of it as well.
Once again thanks for the response and have a healthy and "Happy New Year"
Hobo
