Transmission Probs

Howdy all, I have a 1994 ranger splash edition, 3.0 My problem is I loose transmission fluid at the rate of a quart a week, It was suggested that I change the vaccum diaphram, is this correct and if it is do I need to remove the catalytic converter? Any help would be a blessing, thanks all, and Happy new year!!

The first thing to do is remove the vacuum hose and see if it contains transmission fluid.

If it does then replace the modulator.

It can be a tight squeeze so let the vehicle cool off before attempting it.
