Starter Circuit Components?

Background: 1955 F-100 came with an Olds 455/auto setup that was thrown out as part of the teardown. Now rebuilding with a donor 302/AOD setup from a mid-80's Lincoln. Tossed the EFI junk when rebuilding and will now have a carb setup. I have the starter and alternator that came with the 302 and have put in a complete MSD system (control box, coil and distributor) for the ignition side of things. I'll be using the GM column w/ column keyset that was in the truck. Have put in a Locar floor shifter for the AOD so I will hook the neutral safety through that.

I need some input on what other components to ask for at the local parts store to get the starting side of things going. For example, do I ask for a starter relay from a '79 F-100, a fleerwizzle bushing for a '72 Buick, etc.????? I literally have a blank sheet to work from.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well you will need a starter relay, but i think they might be mostly standard for most makes back in the 70's and 80's even now perhaps. your going to need the harness for the relay and some wire to make it all work also youll need a wire diagram for your column and the plug for the column. solder and lots more wire and shrink tubing it might be easier to just update wiring with a new fuse block and all that depengin on how tore up your original harness is and those are anywhere from $130-$400 or so. those would also include almost everything you would need.
