I am thinking about getting one again, I had a new sportster back in '74. So just when is a person too old to own a full size Harley anyway ?

Greg. You are never too old to own one. The only problem is riding it. You can get too old to hold it up, or in my case arthritis in the knees causes some problems. But there are side cars and trikes to help out with holding it up. You can also get extra wheels that are actually like training wheels. They don't look bad and serve the purpose. a few years ago there was an 82 year old that rode to Sturgis and back, and he was still on two wheels. Like anything else, if you love it you find a way to do it.

Like Lead_Foot, I started out on dirt bikes when I was 12...'course, for me being 12 it was 1967.

I now have an injected wide glide. Nice ride.

Here is a link to a V-twin forum which I have found very useful.

i just bought a 2005 dyna super glide a few months ago, this is my first new harley. i had a sporster frame with a springer front end and a triumph engine a while ago. Been riding since i was 6 years old, i have had 22 different bikes but i really like this dyna. already started replacing parts and pretty sure at tax time i will make the local harley shop happy to see me lol
