Question

Automatic Headlamps

I have a friend of mine who has a 2000 F-150 with the Auto Lamp feature. He is having problems with the lights failing to shut off and also coming on when the vehicle is turned off. What do think the problem could be and how easy is it to repair?

Sounds like maybe a faulty GEM module. I think that the control for the headlights is in it.

It is located behind the fuse panel. While down there, look for signs of water/corrosion. Sometimes a windshield leak will get on them and ruin them.
