Suddenly lost electrical everything and difficult to start.
Since last night, I've had to turn the engine over at least a few times before it starts. Before then, it's never not started on the first try. It doesn't seem to be getting any fuel when turned over, but it's fuel injected so I doubt you can really tell much from that. Then suddenly, on the fourth or so try it starts right up and off I go.
I suspected it might be a fuel pump problem until today when the whole eletrical system in the truck died in the middle of the road while driving. Radio and headlights shut down and, of course, it died and wouldn't start. While I could turn it over, nothing else electrical worked.
I let it sit for a minute and it started right up. But next time I shut down, I had to turn it over three times before it started.
Help! Any suggestions here? I just changed the dimmer/turn signal switch in the steering column because it was starting to fail. But I kinda doubt that is causing it.
Thanks in advance.

If the connection looks good at the starter relay, follow the wire(s) down a little bit, and you may find a splice inside the wiring loom. Make sure this is not corroded and has a good connection.
