I ordered the Sonnax kit, tourque converter lock-up switch and high pressure oil crossover yesterday from Black Cloud Diesel. Can`t wait to grind those pebbles into my back again in 20 degree New Hampshire weather again, thanks guys for planting all those modification seeds in me! I could have worse addictions!!!! I chose to just buy the TC setup cause I`m not too great with figuring out wiring.
Thanks to all whom have blazed the trail for others to experience the real potential these great engines have.
Congrats cnd999, of what you ordered, I think you will be the most impressed with the Sonnax kit. I run mine along with the TS Chip's shift improvements and with the two together, the shifts are fantastic.
Can`t wait for that! I`ve noticed the aggrevatingly slow way my Torque converter locks when I`m pulling up hills and really need to have a manual switch to engage it. When is the best time to switch it on?

yes, being a 16 year old, i could have many other worse addictions, but this is my favorite, albeit the most expensive. i wouldnt give it up for anything.
I love mine, and would recommend it to everyone with an auto...
I have a 99' F-250 AUTO and want to install one. Where is the best place to get and how difficult is it on 1-10 scale? I have fixed all of my vehicles since 16YO but some things I leave to the pros (or so their called) to fix.
You ask and you shall recieve. Not hard to do, the pictures and directions are great. Not hard, just slow because of being careful to keep things clean.

Well stated, I'd say difficult level of maybe 3, easy to do, main thing is keeping it clean. Blackcloud has excellent instructions on their website as well. I layed down a tarp under the truck when I did mine to keep the drive way half way clean as this is a messy job.

That's right, I did the clean tarp thing also. It was perfect. And thank you.
yes... you have a terminal case of pms... powerstroke modification syndrome... also called psdmoditis... which leads to mosterpoweritis and stocksettingsucksitis.. unfortunately it also leads to emptywalletitis... and if you are married like me, you can also end up with a terrible case of wifeispissedatmeitis... that sucks... but i would rather be moded and broke than stock with money in my pocket..! as for crawling around in the dirt, don't feel too bad.. when i put my gauges in i spent several sessions over the course of 3 days crawling in some NASTY MUD..! take your time and do it right, you will love the sonnax mod...! it really helps your tranny put the power on the ground..!
if 1 is putting on the kwik filter or applying a sticker, and 10 is pulling the engine to replace the rods, i would rate this a 3.287785. you have a drain plug in the pan and that makes it a whole lot easier right there.
