I have a 1992 Ford Explorer XLT that has been perfect (no major issues) until now. I'm hoping anyone can help. My heater vents starting blowing out antifreeze a couple days ago and I immediatly thought of the heater core but the weird thing is that it doesn't leek onto my passenger side floor and the heat still runs hot. I don't know if it is the heater hoses or if the heater core itself is just slowly going out, but I don't want to replace the core if its not the problem. Anyone have any ideas?
Also, is it possible to get to the heater core without taking off the whole dash?
I did something similar on a 91 vehicle and didnt see the coolant leaking either on the floor. But the way the cover for the heater core was it had a channel that took any leaking coolant outside the vehicle so it wouldnt go on the floor. Give it a look, it might be the case.

It's definitely heater core related. Make sure the lines to the core at the firewall aren't leaking. If it's not leaking there, you need to pull the core. It's an easy replacement. Pull the glove box out, drop the heater core shield/housing, unhook the 2 lines, and it's out. It's about a 20-30 min job. You should be able to get a new core for about $30.
Thank you all for the advise. There was a plate that held all the rusty antifreeze underneath the heater core. The only bad thing was I was taking out my heater core and didn't realize that the plate was holding all the antifreeze and accidently spilled it all over the floor of my truck. So, after I finish fixing the core, I had to shampoo my carpets. But it fixed the problem and now its running as good as ever!!
