I have an O5 F250 crew cab 4x4, V10. To date it has about 6000 miles on it. Several times when driving at highway speeds I have felt a slight shimmy from the front end when going over bumps. Several months ago my wife was all shook up because it felt like the wheels were falling off and wouldn’t stop until she came to a complete stop. I figured she was being dramatic and kindof brushed her off.
Then several days ago I was driving down the freeway and hit a bump on the overpass, The darn thing started shimmying so hard I figured pieces were going to come loose all over the road. It didn’t stop until I was down below 20 mph. I have driven several trucks that would shimmy due to messed up alignment, loose steering box, etc., but never have I had one shake as violently as this thing.
Of course it hasn’t done it since. The dealership says they can’t find anything wrong and of course it won’t do it for them.
So I am wondering if anyone here has heard of such problems? Bad lot of stearing stabilizers, springs, shocks, etc.
