External Fuel Pump
Hi I am a new member I just bought an 86 F150 4x2 I looked under the truck I noticed an external fuel pump and a different looking Fuel filter I this stock on this truck or is it aftermarket.

It's stock. I take it that you have dual tanks.
If so, then you have a Low Pressure pump in each tank, and then a High Pressure external pump on the frame rail, driver side. And in front of that, is your fuel filter. Both are very easy to change out. I just changed out my pump. The toughest part was just swapping them out into the bracket. And that wasn't tough. Hope you enjoy the truck. I have the same year and drive.
