FM Modulators - No wires please...
Put a human in the passenger seat and the audio fades out completely.
The problem, of course, is that the antenna for the truck is all the way in the back passenger side window. Seeing how I listen to the radio about as often as I drive on the surface of Mars, I wouldn't mind disconnecting the stock antenna at the head unit and nestling a cheap antenna somewhere in the dashboard. The worse the reception of radio stations outside my truck, the better.
Is this feasable? Anybody else come up with a cheap solution that doesn't involve buying a $50.00 wired Modulator - so I can use the $30.00 MP3 player?!?!?
I'm thinking I'll go spelunking under the dash. Does anybody know what sort of plug that factory antenna exits the head unit from? I'm hoping an old Motorola style plug, but I doubt it.
Thanks. Here's hoping the solution's as simple as unplugging the factory antenna.
