been looking at this 2003 F150 FX4, supercab, w/10,400 miles. after round and round with sales dept. they originally wanted to give me $ 5300.00 for my trade, a 1998 F150 OFF-ROAD, supercab, w/ 93,000 miles, $1200.00 stereo,etc..etc...
Got them up to $ 8450.00 .
Their truck they were advertising at $ 22,950.00... well as we stand now,
$ 22,450.00 and a tank of gas.
How does this deal sound to you , my fellow FTE 's ????
by the way KELLYBLUE list the 2003 with its options at $ 23,745.00
my truck at $ 7,500 trade -in
Very low miles- run a carfax and make sure that thing hasn't had prior damage or been titled across three states. Otherwise it doesn't sound too bad. I'm just inherently sceptical of the ultra-low mileage rigs unless I know the owners or have documentation.
i just picked up a 03 5.4 f250 4wd lariat loaded supercab 8' bed with a antislide bed liner and nice fiberglass shell loaded with 13k miles on it for 23,000 out the door. (tax 667,tags 45,misc. fees 337) it is still under factory warrenty untill 7/06 my ford dealer ran a copy of the carfax. 1 reg. local owner and the miles are documented.
Well, it all goes by pocket$$$$. I just think for that kind of money, I wold really look at a new truck. Not sure if you priced any, but with the sales going on, your trade should bring more, seems like a new one, or left over 05, ought to be close. $1200 stereo is lost with a dealer, if oe radio is still there, stick it back in and sell yours!
You're right there. With the deals right now, it's probably about $6K back of new- if it's really loaded. Dealer won't care about the stereo as long as there aren't holes left behind
Financing might be cheaper on a new one, depending on the lender. I wouldn't rule it out, especially if the monthly payments are the real bottom line.
