Correct Speedo Reading???

Have a question regarding tire size and Spedometer reading.
Just put new 265.75R.16 on all four corners... Does this offset
the speedo?

I noticed that the inside portion of the old front tires were bad.
What do I need to adjust to fix, or is this something I have to
take it in for?

Thanks!

265/75-16 tires are a little shorter than 235/85-16 tires, but not by much.
Your speedo will show you going a little faster than you actually are.

The TTB front axles are a little hard on tires.
If everything is OK with the ball joints and tierod ends as well as toe in set properly the best thing is to get the tires rotated often.

Another thing to look at, when in a level parking lot drive straight forward on a level area. Stop the truck and get out and look at the front tires from out in front a ways.
Are the tires leaning tops out or tops in? A little or a lot?

Mine were getting to lean a good bit in at the top out at the bottom.
I also had a klunk I could never find in the front.
I replaced my front springs last summer and when I took the front spring front shackle out of the frame the top bushing was gone on both sides.
New front shackles and the clunk was gone. Then I noticed the front tires were not leaning in so much at the top and the truck sat about 1.5" taller in the front.

Alignment Woes?

Thanks for the reply Dave,
I know I'm not crazy but....
When facing the truck from the front...
The left side seems straight, however, the right (drivers' side)
is like this /. Not as bad, but, noticeable.

The usual stance for the IFS front axle is very slightly / \
They should be even with the front wheels straight and on a level place.

Alignment shops other than Ford will tell you it is within spec and set the toe in usually.
The front end can be aligned by a Ford garage, they have to change bushings that most shops do not have to change the caster and camber.
I changed all my ball joints and tierod ends and had the front set to Ford's preffered alignment specs several years ago. I had over 700 dollars in the job, but the truck drove like a new one or better after that. Also the front tire wear was much better.
With the work I do I run mud tires year round, I figure that I saved enough money in tire wear to pay for the front end work in a little over two years.

Since then I have installed a Dana 60 straight axle in my truck, now the front axle headaches are all gone and the tires are wearing even better than they did after the alignment.
