as my 56 10wheeler, the even bigger fender is for trucks with 11 22.5's
tubleless (an option) you can spot them because they have two carriage
bolts in the center lip with an extra fender brace.

I am not as familiar with the 56 as I am the 53-55. It looks like Ford made all kinds of changes in 56. It looks like most of the manufacturers started getting more model specific with a lot of parts around that time.
