well, I hope you have plenty of motor to be able to use aftermarket aluminum heads...I think Canfield has a set that will fit clevelands, as well as some others. Also check out

I think they have some now too. Or you could go with some stock 4bbl cleveland heads, I think they flow more air than Edlebrock Vic. Jr's for 351's....but they're still iron.
Alright thanks, i'll check it out, Theres plenty of motor (thats half the reason i need new heads). will cleveland heads fit on a Modified?? i never thought they would.

Yes Cleveland heads are direct bolt ons for the 351M/400 motors. Absolutely no modifications are necessary. I have a set of Cleveland 2Vs on my 400 and there's a guy that posts in the 335 series forum that has a set of Cleveland 4Vs on his 400.

I put an Edelbrock Performer 400 manifold for the 351M/400 on mine. The big "secret" to making the 400 a stout runner is to raise the compression and remove the factory retarded cam timing. I used 9:1 flat top pistons and a Crower 15241 (276/281 dur. .527/.534" lift) cam. Dan Lee, the guy with the 4V heads on his 400 used the same pistons and a Cleveland single plane manifold with the spacers from Weiand. Not sure of his cam specs.
There's a great article on making a 380+ hp 472# torque 400 from Hot Rod magazine at: [link:home.earthlink.net/~tcrocker/400.html| Hot Rod Article]
You want to see some sexy aluminum Cleveland heads check out these 2 links: [link:www.pim.net/newprod601.htm|PI Motorsports] and [link:www.araoengineering.com/Ford/clevelnd.htm|ARAO Engineering 32V Cleveland Heads]
thanks bill, i saw your old post in the 351M/400 section right after i posted that, after looking at those heads makes you think they ought to be made out of gold lol, reach a little lower in the pocket (sigh)
