Wideband question
The question is, if your replacing the narrow with wide don't you need some sort of signal interpreter between the sensor and the computer? My searchs so far have not been productive, if know of a good info source I'd appreciate it.
What you do is get a wide-band sensor and attach it to a data-logging device. Some even come with their own PC or other data logging devices.
If you are actively tuning yourself this is a great way to test your changes to see how "on the mark" the air/fuel ratios are. Use the wide-band datalogging to get an accurate picture of what's going on, nail the tune to where it needs to be, and then let the factory O2's do their job. If you just need to check out the ratios for someone else tuning it, you might be better money-wise to take it to a shop with a dyno and pay for a couple of runs with their wide-band.
What are you looking to accomplish? What's your budget? Do you plan to tune yourself with something like the Tweecer or SCT Pro Racer package? Or do you plan to have us, or a local shop tune it? Let me know and I can make specific recommendations, my answer so far is very generalized.

Eventually a conversion from SD/MFI to MAF/SFI on 4.9. The more radical side of me wants to turbo charge and push the 300hp range. The pratical side wants to take bottom end issues that have been creeping up (low oil pressure, appearent blowby, etc) and moderately improve things while getting an mpg gain.
Mostly just doing the research for now.
