How Do I ?

Run the wiring to upgrade my electrical system?? I have read on another forum about upgrading my electrical system by using 1awg wire from the alternator to the positive terminal on the battery.Upon inspecting this to determine how much wire to buy I noticed that the existing wire from my alternator does not run straight to my battery but instead to somthing mounted on the side of the truck, and from there to the battery. Can someone tell me the best way to disconnect the stock wiring and how you ran your wiring from the alt... to the battery. I will also be upgrading the ground from the negative to the chassis also. It is my understanding that this will eliminate the dimming of lights, and the elimination of alternator whine thru the speakers while the amp is running. Anyone who has done this upgrade care to elaborate??

From: MASS
you may have an external voltage regulator or rect.
To be safe I would piggy back the stock wiring
and follow it from point a to b to c
instead of replacing it add on a 8 or 10 gauge wire
you should check and clean your other grounds while your
at it
