2000 F150, right? On any year Ford (for the last 25 years anyways) you'll need either an adapter or some of those wire splice clips because all the speakers have a unique plug on them. You should also visit the cruchfield site, they have a lot of info on different years and makes. Things like what color wire is what (+/-) and what size speaker will fit ( a good thing to know before you pull all those panels off only to find Santa brought the wrong size). Be sure and fire those speakers up before you button down the panels because you may like the stock ones better.
Good luck and take your time with the panels, they can be a pain, and if it won't come off, you've probably forgot a screw some place.
Yes, its a 2000 supercab. Well, best buy told us to get these speakers, 6x8 so i'm pretty sure they're the right size. And they came with those little wire clip things.
Well, i definetly bought 6x8's and they definetly fit. Getting the door panels off was very easy. for the fronts you just pop of the upper piece of the panel, then you pop off where the door lock and window controls are and unplug all of those. Next, you pop off the piece around the door handle. There is only two screws holding it on. After you take those two out it just slides upwards and pops off.
For the back you unscrew the piece that opens the rear windows. Pop off the upper part of the panel. Two screws and a nut, and a plastic push pin (both sides of mine broke off) and then it slides up just like the front did.
Just incase anyone needed to know how to get the doorpanels off,
