Depends on who you ask, me or someone with some common sense! I only have so much time and money but that thought doesn`t seem to have anything to do with it when it comes to getting even more.
My name is Calvin, and my twin brother is Colin, just like Corner Gas. My user name is just the year of my restored truck, with silver being the color, and the streak from the 425hp 460 under the hood!
Just glanced through the Ontario chapter ''roll call'' thread that has many pages of name/member info. A great way to get to know the members. They have alot more members than our chapter but the same idea will work here.
We need a drive for more members by handing out spotters cards. They are in the forums section ready to print up. Let`s start now by printing and handing them out.
Thats not a bad idea either. I have ran into a few guys at work that are ford fans, and I have passed this site to them. I have found the real big problem is, that most of them dont know how to use a computer!
Sorry about not posting sooner preppypyro, been gone visiting the inlaws in Manitoba. For your question on the truck, The engine block is a 78 460 from a grand marquis that is punched .020 over, .010 under crank, TRW flat top pistons, and a high volume oil pump. The heads are from a 429 with the DOVE-C castings, light port and polish job, and topped off with roller rockers and guide plates. It has a comp magnum cam in it, with double roller timing chain running it. The intake is a Weiand Stealth series with a 750 holley on top. Headman headers and dual 2 1/2 pipes with thrush magnums complete the exhaust. It has a full MSD spark system, with the pro billet distributor and the 6AL box and rev limiter. The transmission is a worked over C6 with shift kit and 2500 stall TCI convertor. The rearend is set with 3:55 gears and factory posi, with heavier springs for more lock-up. Makes for a nice fast old truck!
Never been to the drags with it, but raced lots of the locals and haven't lost one yet. Raced lots of old camaros and thrash them easily. One race that suprised us was against a 1997 Firebird with the LT1 and six speed, with a cold air kit and magnaflow exhaust system. Thought it would be a hard race, but the only time he got by was after the truck hit the rev limiter in drive at around 125mph!! He was so shocked, he didn't want to race a second time!

No doubt, it must be a rocket. How do you like your combination and would you change any of it? What was the total cost of the motor/C6 and how much of the motor labour did you do? Thinking of putting a 460 into the 56 M100.
