6637 ?

I am trying to decide what way to go on the air intake and have a question about the 6637 and theway it get its air from under the hood and how hot it is. will there be a lose of power cuz the air is warmer? or dose the cooler bring the air to the same temp even though one starts out hotter.

is that question clear as mud
thanks
Keith

I left my stock battery tray in, and it kept all the ducting that want to the stock airbox. Looks about as effective as an aftermarket one, without having to use a worthless gauze filter.

it is one of the best filters out there IMO. it is cheap, and filters great. the hot air is not a problem once you do the zoo-dad mod. there is a shroud behind the grille, that directs all of the air through the radiator. if you cut a hole in the right place on the shroud, it will let air straight in the snorkel, and actually you can see the filter element from outside the truck if you look at the right angle. this vastly lowers engine compartment temps, once you are moving. when driving, the underhood temps are not much hotter then ambient, maybe 20* more IF that after the zoodad. i have pictures of my install in my gallery.
