ats chip installed
Well after a long time I figured out how to install the chip, and route the switch behind the steel panel the emergency break mounts onto. My only question is, what is the limit as to how high I can set switch to without gauges? I've heard 75 is the limit, and the other question I have is what is the max. hp. put out on 140 setting of this chip, on a 97 automatic? Oh by the way no lights came on in the dash so I must have done something right. One more question, has anyone used this chip, and what power, and mpg results have you gotten? Thanks for any replys in advance. Jeff Forgot to mention I have 4 inch exhaust, and kwik filter. Thanks

The most you'll see without upgrading injectors is 65-70 hp. And as far as gauges, I suppose that as long as you don't tow you'll be fine. Just don't get into it for very long. But still, their well worth the investment. Ya kinda put the cart in front of the horse meaning ya should have got the gauges first. Congrats on the new mod!

Is it really worth risking the motor on somebody else's guess on what your EGT's will be? Either leave it on the lowest setting or remove it until you get gauges. The only way to know what is safest is to know....and that means watching the EGT's as you drive it.

if you got that 3 position switch deal, you should get a pyrometer if nothing else. I found out that in the max position those exhaust gasses will climb faster than a wild cat with a hot poker up his ***.
